Connect freelance.link to your agent
Through this address, Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and other agents read and change your availability. A change then takes one sentence: “Project X ends Friday.”
https://freelance.link/mcp
How it works
- Add a connector in your agent, also called an MCP server, and enter this address. See below for how.
- Sign in to freelance.link and choose what your agent may do.
- Ask your agent, for example: “When am I free again?” or “I’m out until Wednesday.”
Set up in Claude and ChatGPT
freelance.link is in the Claude directory. Select Connect and sign in.
- Claude on the web and in the desktop app
- Open the Claude directory listing above and select Connect. Or add a custom connector: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector, with freelance.link as the name and this address. In a chat, turn it on under + → Connectors. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it.
- Claude on iPhone and Android
- Add the connector on the web or in the desktop app. It’s then available in the app too.
- ChatGPT
- On the web only: Plugins → plus button → Add custom MCP server. Enter freelance.link as the name and this address under Connection, accept the risk warning and select Create as a plugin. Install the plugin and pick it in a chat with @. ChatGPT can change your data only on Business, Enterprise or Edu, and only read it on Pro. On Business, admins or owners set it up.
For developers
- Claude Code, then /mcp to sign in
claude mcp add --transport http freelancelink https://freelance.link/mcp- Codex CLI
codex mcp add freelancelink --url https://freelance.link/mcp codex mcp login freelancelink- Cursor, in ~/.cursor/mcp.json
{ "mcpServers": { "freelancelink": { "url": "https://freelance.link/mcp" } } }
What your agent may do
- Read availability
- See the status, projects with their names, absences and the waitlist without email addresses.
- Change availability
- Create, change and delete projects and absences, and confirm that everything is still correct.
- Notify waitlist
- Email everyone on your waitlist, only when you explicitly ask for it.
When connecting, you choose what your agent may do, and you can disconnect it at any time under Account → Connections. What it reads is also processed by its provider. More in the privacy policy.
