What data is being stored?

Registration 🚀

When you sign up for a FreelanceLink account, you must provide a valid email address and password. You are responsible for picking a secure password and storing it securely.

Profile 📝

You can add basic information about you and your business:

  • Username (will be part of your FreelanceLink URL, e.g. freelance.link/florian)
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Avatar
  • Job Title
  • Link to your business site or social account

Availability 🚦

To show your availability, you have add and update information about current and future projects:

  • Start date
  • End date
  • Workload (e.g. 50%, 100%)
  • Private Note (only visible to you)

Subscription 💳

When you subscribe, I store some basic payment information about your purchase history to give support in case of payment issues.

Hosting 🌍

FreelanceLink is hosted on Render in Frankfurt, Germany. Please read their Privacy Policy for more information.

Avatars 🤓

If you upload an avatar to your account, the image is stored on Cloudflare R2 in the European Union. Please read their Privacy Policy for more information.

Emails ✉️

When you contact me, I store your email address and a record of your communication with my email hosting service United Domains from Germany. Please read their Privacy Policy for more information.

Analytics 📊

I use Plausible to analyze any traffic on FreelanceLink. Plausible is a privacy focused Google Analytics alternative. Please read their Privacy Policy for more information.

Transactional Emails ✉️

I use Amazon Simple Email Service to send account verification, password reset, and service notification emails. Amazon processes email addresses and message content for delivery. Please read the AWS Privacy Notice for more information.

Payment 💳

When you subscribe to FreelanceLink, Stripe processes and stores all payment information. Please read their Privacy Policy for more information.

Cookies 🍪

FreelanceLink does not use any third-party or tracking cookies.

Security

I implemented a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication requires HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, not stored, using industry-standard methods (currently bcrypt).
